Pittsburgh’s North Shore is not just home to the Steelers and Pirates. It has become a one stop entertainment destination with something for everyone to enjoy! Are you…?
  • Looking to drink and dance the night away? Head over to Tequila Cowboy, a honky tonk bar with excellent food, drinks, and live music. If country music isn’t your thing, sing karaoke at Wannabes or relive the 90’s and early 2000s at Little Red Corvette. McFadden’s and North Shore Tavern are great for happy hours and pre-game drinks.
  • Feeling lucky? Play slot machines and table games at Rivers Casino. The casino has several bars and restaurants along with an entertainment center that hosts live entertainment including DJs, magicians, and musical groups.
  • Missing the good old days? Shorty’s Pins x Pints is a modern twist on retro entertainment. This hot spot has duck pin bowling, pinball, foosball, shuffleboard, vintage arcade games, bocce ball courts, bonfires, a variety of beverage options and a snack bar. Shorty’s is a brand new, trendy spot so you may want to plan ahead AND plan to wait, it’s always busy.

  • Ready to rock? Stage AE is an indoor concert hall that transforms into an outdoor amphitheater and it’s the place to be for concerts, charity events and tailgate parties.
  • An art lover? The North Shore is home to the Andy Warhol Museum which houses an extensive collection from the Pittsburgh-born artist. If you’re up for a very short walk or car ride, head over to the North Side and check out Randyland and The Mattress Factory. Enjoy interactive exhibits and art installations while wandering around these one-of-a-kind places.
  • Planning a Family Fun Day? The best kid friendly places to visit are the Carnegie Science Center and Highmark Sports Works. Kids and adults alike will love the exhibits and interactive experiences and feel out of this world at the Buhl Planetarium.
  • Outdoorsy? Pittsburgh is known for its breathtaking cityscapes. Stroll along the picturesque river walk and take in the breathtaking views from every angle.
  • Best place to grab a beer: Southern Tier – over 30 brews on tap, delicious appetizers and a fun atmosphere.
  • Best Place to Park: If there’s not a concert or sporting event, most lots on the North Shore cost $5-10 to park for the whole night. *If you’re living or staying downtown, hop on the T and ride over to the North Shore for free (subject to change).
  • Best Selfie Spots: By the river with the beautiful city behind you or in front of the Mr. Rogers statue that overlooks Pointe State Park.
